Can we create a process by which an automatic pop up email appears in the inbox of all the subscribers if there are any new developments in the case of a particular product/ chemical entity.

We suggest you use RSS or web feeds which allow a website's frequent readers to track updates on a web site using an RSS news reader (aggregator). RSS can also be used by search engines to scan web sites for newly added content and enabled other websites to include automatically updated indexes of content hosted on external sites.
