Bangladesh

How do you determine if certain PCT applications were nationalized in Bangladesh (i.e., see if applications are pending in Bangladesh).  I don't see it on the list of patent countries.

Dear Monica,

I believe Bangladesh is not a PCT member country (see http://www.wipo.int/pct/guide/en/gdvol1/annexes/annexa/ax_a.pdf).

Also, unfortunately, the International Bureau of the PCT does not receive national phase entry information from all the PCT member states. The list for which you can find information on PATENTSCOPE is located at:

Are you aware about WIPO/Patenscope plans, if any,  to add Bangladesh patent information to Patenscope, as a result of  IPR project which have been performed with technical assistance of EC and WIPO and included  development of "automated database of granted patents" (see a presentation on 2010 WIPO Regional Workshop: Bangladesh Country Report, http://www.wipo.int/meetings/en/doc_details.jsp?doc_id=140616, p.17)
