Search function for "Browse By Week"

Cathy
Are there any plans to bring back the search box to the "browse by week" function? I like the option of searching specific key competitors for my company.

You can download now the weekly gazette (from the browse by week) in Excel so you can apply your personal filters.

I did download the Gazette so perhaps you can explain to me how to filter for assignee. All I see in the spreadsheet is the document number and the title of the document. What do I do next to find assignee?

It was much easier to type an assignee in the search box and have all the publications from one particular week appear on the page.

There is also an applicant column in the downloaded file, you have to scroll to the right. You need to look up the help of Excel in order to find out how to set up filters.

We will fix this functionality in PATENTSCOPE asap

If I understand the question - this feature still exists - although it's a bit more difficult to use.

For weekly competitive searching I use:

"(DP:2013.MM.DD AND pa/Company*)" in the simple search "window".

The day should be the Thursday (normally) you are searching.
This will give you a list of PCT publications by that particular competitor.
A few more typestrokes - but the same result.
