New web interface is painfully slow

Just finished looking up a WO publication:
- old interface - 0.5s + 1 click + 0.5s - bibliography data page
- new interface - 31s - bibliography page (half a minute, I kid you not)

Accessing the docs. tab:
- old interface - 0.5s
- new interface - 4s

Is this normal, will this be normal, is there a special recommmended pc/browser configuration, anything that helps?

It's been painfully slow(!!) for me since the new interface was introduced. Can't explain it though.

The new interface has been victim of its own success and in the last 2 weeks there were some random performance issues. We have just upgraded our hardware and it looks like response time are much better so I would encourage you to check again.

The interface is extremely slow and it takes more than a half hour to save a PDF of a published application.  Are there any settings that I need to enable or disable on my computer to make the downloads faster.  As it is, the website is virtually unusable.

We would need a little more information to investigate. From where do you access PATENTSCOPE? No need to be precise, a town or region is enough.
What was the PDF document you wanted to download? How many pages does it have?
Which browser/version do you use?

PATENTSCOPE's requests time out after 60 seconds. So, depending on the load when you issued your query, the size of the PDF document and your location in the world, you may have experienced a time out.

Please try again and if you still do not manage to download the document, write an email to the patentscope mailbox ([e-mail]) and they will find a solution for you.
